Using
the tools of heat to style your hair, it is important to take the
necessary measures to protect the hair or you could end up with very
undesirable results.
Many
people do not realize that even stains ceramic iron and the highest
quality professional tourmaline can have a detrimental effect on the
hair if used incorrectly or too often, or if your hair is not properly
protected . The heat damage to your hair is difficult to repair, and most of the time you will need to cut your hair to remove the injury.
As you probably know, temporarily straighten hair with a flat iron is done by applying cooking to the length of your hair. Heat straightens hair for an hour and then reform hydrogen bonds inside your hair. When precautions are taken, it can damage the outer protective layer which causes weakness and hair breakage.
Board flat hair (or any heat styling) can cause two types of damage to your hair cuticle. The type of damage that occurs depends on whether your hair is styled in the wet or dry. There
are products that can be used to do damage is less obvious, but the
hair is not able to "cure", so that the damage actually never goes away
until you cut your hair.
Hairstyles
dry heat causes radial and axial cracking along the edges of the hair
cuticle, making your hair weaker and can lead to breakage, chipping and
split ends. Most of the time, these effects are so severe that they can be reversed and will cut your hair to remove the injury.
Wet or damp hair styling heat causes the water in the hair in short bursts to exploit moisture. This
causes a buckling effect and hot in the hair cuticle along the entire
length of the hair, and has the appearance of a light bulb when you look
more closely.
As the heat damage to your hair is difficult (or impossible) to repair, it is much easier than trying to avoid it altogether. heat styling, when done properly, can cause minimal damage will not even be able to notice. You can go back and keep the hair healthy, shiny and soft at the same time! Here are some tips to reduce heat damage when using a ceramic flat iron:
No flat iron (or heat styling) hair every day. The more often you do, the more damage they do to your hair. It was recommended by dermatologists to not straighten your hair more than three times per week.
Make sure your hair is hydrated! Before
the style, wash your hair with a good moisturizing shampoo and use a
good conditioner that restores moisture to the hair. You can also use a leave-in conditioner and moisture protection. It is also a good idea to do a deep conditioning treatment on the hair restorer once a week.
When you have time, do not dry the hair and let it air dry before Flat Iron it. Wet
hair is much more susceptible to damage than dry hair, and the
application of heat from a hair dryer while your hair is wet can cause
problems. You can also over-dry your hair, it is dull and brittle.
If
you do not have time to let your hair dry naturally and you have to dry
(use an ionic dryer, if possible), be sure to use a protective spray on
the hair and use the cool setting on the dryer.
Before you start ironing your hair, make sure it is completely dry (unless you use a wet to dry flat iron). Wet hair and heat are not a good combination, because the hair is weaker when wet and can be damaged more easily.
After all the moisture has disappeared from your hair, smooth on a product of thermal protection. These
are the oils and serums that give your hair extra protection against
the heat and add a layer of protection between your hair and iron. Also make sure your hair shiny and more manageable.
Use a flat iron with variable temperature control, so you can decide how hot you want it. Use the lowest possible power to do the job.
Use a high quality iron with tourmaline ceramic plates or plates instead of metal. The
ceramic and tourmaline materials produce far infrared heat and negative
ions that lock in your natural hair oils and moisture to prevent
drying. Tourmaline
ceramic plates are also better in the fight against frizz, and also
give much more elegant and softer results than a metal plate. Definitely worth spending more money on a quality board that will not cause nearly as much damage.
